Item 84 and 86: ticked off in Sugbu
CEBU CITY!!! The Queen City of the South.
As you know, I arrived here on the 20th and I havent explored much since I already have work yesterday. Today, I went to Ayala Center with my dear friend and Cebu-local, Kaorie. Kaorie and I met 2 years ago and became really good friends. Our stress-reliever/bonding has always something to do with food. And now that I am here in her city, Kaorie and I are reliving our food trip days.
Our first stop was the supermarket. I cant quite remember what are we doing there, but more likely, we’re just checking it out. On the produce section, we saw a fruit platter samples and luckily, one of them is on my bucket list. *big smiles*
I’ve never tried eating one. Im not a fruit person (and yeah, you can say that I’m not a veggie person either). I’ve always been curious what it tastes like. I can only assume that because it’s weird looking, it may probably taste weird as well. But yea, you’re right. You can never judge a book by it’s cover: so maybe I’m wrong.
Mochi ice cream is a Japanese confection made from pounded sticky rice. It is a small, round desert ball with an ice cream filling inside. One of the popular producers of mochi ice cream in the Philippines is the Mochiko. Based on their website, they currently have 22 flavors that you can choose from for only P75.00.
Kaorie chose Strawberry Fruit & Yogurt, while I ordered Speculoos Cookie Butter. Both of them are yummy, and have that melt-in-your-mouth feeling. It’s delicious! And I am not disappointed. Definitely a must try!
Mang!! we are so back in each other’s arms. Charoot! I’m looking forward for more food trip sessions. Thank you so much for taking time to meet me and hang-out. lab lab lab youuuuu!!
